CRATE 002 is a one-of-one, hand-built ceramic sculpture inspired by the familiar form of the plastic milk crate—an everyday object reimagined in clay.
Built entirely by hand, the piece transforms an industrial, mass-produced object into something individual and permanent. The open construction, irregular surfaces, and evidence of the making process are intentionally preserved, allowing the character of the clay and the hand of the artist to remain visible.
CRATE 002 is designed to live somewhere between art and utility. Use it to hold a collection of vinyl records, books, or a plant—or leave it empty and allow the form itself to exist as sculpture. Its purpose is intentionally open to the person who owns it.
