Fish Plate No. 01 started with a dream.
I had an image of a fish plate in my head and eventually decided to see if I could actually make it. There wasn’t a perfect plan—I just started experimenting with clay and figured it out along the way.
That process is at the heart of FAFO: following an idea far enough to find out what happens. Sometimes it fails. Sometimes it leads somewhere completely unexpected. This time, it worked.
What started as something I saw in a dream became an object I could hold in my hands.
Fish Plate No. 01 is the first piece from that experiment and a one-of-one original by Creative Vice. The irregularities and marks throughout the piece are part of the handmade process and make this plate entirely its own.
